Take a walk around the Blair Plain conservation district and discover the built and social histories surrounding this heritage townhouse neighbourhood.

Starting at the NUS Baba House, you will explore the different architectural features of the townhouses in Neil Road, Everton Road and Blair Road, and the impact of its colonial and communal histories on the current urban landscape. Alongside, you will also learn how shifting urban planning and conservation attitudes have shaped individual and collective memories of the area. Uncover the surprising history of overlooked features like the back lanes, and the challenges of preserving these histories and their memories in a rapidly changing urban landscape.

At the end, participants will also get a chance to contribute to our open opinion board in response to our upcoming conservation works in 2025.
